What kind of place is the stroke window?
Stroke can be divided into the acute phase around two weeks after the onset of stroke, the convalescent phase when the condition settles down and body functions are regained mainly through rehabilitation, and the living phase after returning home. will change. I created a picture book for children.
We created a picture book featuring our hospital's stroke awareness mascot, "Straw-kun," to inform people that they should call 119 if they see someone showing signs of a stroke.
This picture book tells the story of a primary school student who notices something strange happening to his grandfather, reports it with the help of Straw-kun, and receives treatment.
We try to avoid using technical terms as much as possible so that elementary school students can easily understand.
The book is available at public elementary schools and libraries in the city, so please feel free to pick it up and take a look.
You can view the article published in the Kobe Shimbun on September 26, 2024 from the link below.
This picture book will also be distributed to organizations such as children's centers in the city upon request.
We also accept requests for on-site lectures using Kamishibai (picture storytelling), so please contact us using the details below.
