  • Please be sure to show your insurance card when you are hospitalized. Please note that if you do not present your health insurance card, you may have to pay the full amount yourself. In addition, the burden ratio by insurance is as shown in the next section (below).
  • Patients who do not have an insurance card due to emergency hospitalization, etc. may be asked to present an identification document such as a driver's license instead of the insurance card.
  • When using health insurance in the event of an act of a third party (traffic accident, etc.), the approval of the respective insurer (health insurance association, Japan Health Insurance Association, municipality, etc.) is required.
  • Hospitalization treatment costs related to compulsory automobile liability insurance will be billed for the amount calculated according to the provisions of city ordinances and regulations.
  • In cases where it is particularly necessary, such as when treatment is not covered by insurance, actual expenses may be collected.
  • Consumption tax will be added separately for personal expenses and actual expenses.
  • The cost of renting hospital gowns is as shown in the next section (below).
  • The following section (below) explains the partial burden of meal expenses during hospitalization.
  • If you use a private room, you will need to pay the room charge difference in addition to the treatment fee. Please refer to the next section (bottom) for the charges.
  • If you wish to visit another hospital while you are hospitalized, please consult with your doctor.

How to pay hospital expenses

Please pay the hospitalization fee at the automatic payment machine.

Please pay the hospitalization fee around the 14th of each month (for the previous month) and at the time of discharge. If the hospitalization fee has not been determined at the time of discharge, we may ask you to pay at a later date.

Depending on the content and method of payment, you may not be able to use the automatic payment machine, so please pay at the following locations.

Calculation example

If a city resident is admitted to a private room A at 13:00 on July 4th and leaves the hospital at 10:00 on July 6th, the room charge will be as follows:
16,500 yen (per day) x 3 days (3 days from July 4th to 6th) = 49,500 yen.

Please submit an application form regarding whether or not you need to rent a hospital gown. The patient's burden is calculated daily and is not covered by the High-Cost Medical Care Benefits System.
