vision of the future
To live up to the trust of citizens, we are rooted in the community,
Kobe City Hospital Organization With a medical system linked with 4 hospitals,
Efficiently provide quality healthcare to more citizens
Aiming for three improvements
1.
Aiming to improve the quality of medical care
As a regional advanced medical institution, our hospital aims to improve the quality of medical care. As one of the efforts, we have established Robotic Surgery Center, a heart center, a stroke center, a cancer center, etc., to strengthen our comprehensive medical system in which specialists in each field work together to treat patients by organ or disease. Secondly, the medical departments such as examination, radiology, and surgery are independent from each department as central departments, and are equipped with advanced, state-of-the-art equipment. Furthermore, we have established an intensive care unit (CCU, ICU, SCU, etc.) for seriously ill patients, and have placed nurse stations in the center of each ward to ensure that every room can be carefully looked after by nurses, and we are committed to providing the best possible care for our patients.
Kobe City divides its emergency medical system into levels 1 to 3, with each emergency medical institution assigned a different role. Our hospital was designated as an emergency medical center in 1976, and is primarily responsible for tertiary emergency care within the city. However, in accordance with our basic philosophy of providing medical care that is closely tied to the community, and in line with the requests of our residents, and in our position as Kobe City 's flagship hospital, we also respond to the needs for primary to secondary emergency medical care.
In order to provide the high level of medical care required by citizens, it is essential to develop highly qualified medical professionals. Our hospital was designated as a clinical training hospital in 1968 and as a clinical training facility for doctor in 1997, and is working to develop new human resources. To develop human resources within the hospital, we support self-development through study abroad and domestically, presentations at academic conferences overseas, and participation in various training sessions, promote clinical research through medical promotion projects, and work to revitalize the hospital through workshops that transcend professions. We also contribute to improving the medical standards in the region by holding academic meetings with other medical institutions in the region.
2.
Aiming to improve patient services
We believe that one of our missions is to relieve patients of their anxiety, pain, and suffering as much as possible, and we strive to improve our patient services from that perspective. Specifically, we aim to provide appropriate information from all staff, including doctor, nurses, pharmacists, and Registered Dietitian, and at the Patient Support Center, nurses and case workers answer questions about home medical care, nursing care, financial issues, welfare systems, and more. In addition, we hold classes on diabetes, heart disease, digestive disease, easy breathing, cancer, in-hospital concerts, and health lectures for the general public.
3.
Aiming to collaborate with local health, medical, and welfare institutions
As a liaison office with local medical institutions, the Patient Support Center handles fax reservations for initial consultations and medical information sheets to facilitate smooth patient referrals and reverse referrals. It also works to strengthen ties with local medical institutions by holding joint regional open conferences and regional cooperation forums. Furthermore, in order to promote and support home medical care for patients, it also cooperates with health, medical, and welfare institutions, such as visiting nursing stations, geriatric health facilities, and each ward's health and welfare department.
