  • We will ask you about your life at home and if you have had any troubles.
  • Remove the stoma appliance and clean the skin around the stoma.
  • Observe the stoma and peristomal skin for any skin problems or complications. Sometimes I actually touch my stomach and examine it.
  • Measure the size of the stoma and check if the size of the appliance and the size to be cut are suitable.
  • Photographs of the stoma and peristomal skin are taken to monitor the progress continuously.
  • We will attach the stoma appliance that you have brought with you.
  • For those who are not confident in their care, we ask them to provide care to patients in the outpatient department and confirm the care procedures.
  • If you have a skin problem, we will suggest how to deal with it or change the care method, and guide you through the procedure.
  • Additionally, we listen to any concerns patients may have and provide advice.
