Kobe City Medical Center General Hospital opened as the Municipal Kobe Clinic (Nagata Ward) on March 1, 1924 (Taisho 13), and will celebrate its 100th anniversary on March 1, 2024 (Reiwa 6). To commemorate this, a commemorative ceremony, commemorative lecture, and celebration will be held.

Since opening as the Kobe Clinic in 1924 (Taisho 13), our hospital has been hit by unprecedented crises, including war damage, the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, new strains of influenza, and the spread of COVID-19. However, with the understanding and cooperation of our citizens, we have overcome the impending crises and have striven to provide safe and secure medical care.

We will continue to provide safe and secure medical care by providing emergency medical care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and will play our role as the core hospital of the Kobe medical area and the last resort for the citizens, working in cooperation with local medical institutions.
