Guidance of Perinatal Medical Center
About delivery at our hospital
At our hospital, if there are no special abnormalities during pregnancy, we aim for natural childbirth and childcare. Mothers naturally have the power to raise healthy babies in their wombs. Our primary goal is to help you achieve pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare. However, if any abnormalities are found during pregnancy or delivery, hospitalization during pregnancy, labor induction, labor acceleration, or cesarean section may be necessary. As an emergency hospital, we are available 24 hours a day, and depending on the situation of pregnant women, not only obstetricians and Obstetrics and Gynecology but also many specialists and specialists will respond to mothers. In addition, the neonatal intensive care unit is adjacent, and the Neonatologist also treats babies.

About delivery
birth plan
At our hospital, it is important to think about and prepare for birth from the early stages of pregnancy.
In order to ensure that the birth is as satisfying as possible for the pregnant woman and her family, the pregnant woman and her family should discuss what will happen during pregnancy, childbirth, and after the birth, and write down in the birth plan any hopes or questions they have, things they will work on together, and requests from medical professionals.
We will support you to meet your wishes as much as possible based on your birth plan. Please note that we may not be able to meet your birth plan requests due to hospital rules, medical reasons, etc.
*We do not allow audio or video recording during birth at our hospital.
About attending birth
We have resumed having births with a partner present. If you are interested or would like to have a birth with a partner, please let us know during your prenatal checkup. There are conditions for having a partner present at birth.
About early mother-infant contact
Early mother-infant skin-to-skin contact involves holding the baby between the mother's breasts so that the baby is in skin-to-skin contact with the mother.
Babies immediately after birth are already equipped with five senses and are ready to accept various stimuli from their mother and others around them. Through this early mother-infant contact, the baby and mother can feel the warmth of each other and enjoy a greater sense of unity.
Effects of early mother-infant contact
- A bond is formed between mother and baby.
- Calms mother and baby.
- Skin contact between the mother and the baby keeps the baby warm.
- The position held by the mother makes it easier for the baby to take in oxygen into the body.
- Being held on the mother's chest stimulates the mother's breathing, making it easier for the baby to breathe.
- Indigenous bacteria on the skin of a healthy person attach to the baby's skin, preventing other bad bacteria from attaching to the baby.
- Breastfeeding can be done smoothly.
If your baby is born healthy, you can immediately hold your baby on the delivery table. Caesarean sections are also performed only when conditions are met. Also, if for some reason early mother-infant contact was not possible immediately after delivery, it can be done in the hospital room.
We will give you a consent form at the prenatal checkup, so please submit it when you are hospitalized.
Postpartum hospital life
Room with mother and child
At our hospital, we recommend that mothers and babies stay in the same room 24 hours a day in order to deepen the bond between breastfeeding and babies.
The mother and baby stay together in the same room. The mother feels very relieved when the baby is right next to her, and the baby feels the warmth and kindness of the mother and feels relieved when the baby hears the mother's voice, which she has been listening to for a long time.
When the baby cries, you can hold it in your arms as soon as possible, laying the foundation for a future mother-child relationship. In addition, during the time you spend with your baby, you will be able to feel the baby's condition and life rhythm, which you cannot see from a distance, and you will be less worried after you are discharged from the hospital.
Breastfeeding your baby as soon as it cries will help your baby produce more milk. Every day, the staff will give you advice on how to suck your breasts so that you can continue breastfeeding with peace of mind even after you leave the hospital.
If your baby is very tired and wants to rest for a while, we will keep your baby in the neonatal room whenever you leave the room. Please feel free to contact us.
About visitation
